Thank you for being here! Sitting in class listening to my professor, I had the idea for this book. In between my communication notes, I scribbled it down in my notebook.

This was the start of an incredible journey. In 2016, I had the privilege of writing the first draft of my book alongside a small group of writers and the help of a 21-time, New York Times bestselling author…

Through his guidance, I edited my draft and signed with a literary agent. She shopped my manuscript to publishers, garnering the interest of several editors, including those at the Big 5 publishing houses in New York.

Despite significant interest and positive feedback, one key obstacle keeps this story from publication. Today’s authors need a significant platform for a publisher to take them seriously, and rightly so! Publishers want to know the book will sell. The easiest way to guarantee sales is for the author to have a large following.

This creates a bit of a double-bind for aspiring authors. To have a following, you have to get published. But to get published, you have to have a following.
